Becoming second hand immigrant, talking about other country and culture and towards technology, my efforts become more challenging. Practicing tools that I currently use in my professional and personal life, and the inclusion of other ones, are the foundation that I need to be proficient in technology matters. As an educational leader: I want to model technology learning practices and facilitate the implementation of technology in the teachers’ lesson plans. To be able to transfer the technology knowledge to our students and comply with mandates and requirements, I will assure of provide the infrastructure into the school setting. One of my objectives is improve my postings and timeline into my blog of the school web page. Other is working hard in develop communication by community forums and via Internet with the use of web 2.0 tools to incorporate and receive feedback of all stakeholders towards reach our school goals. The analysis of the Texas Long Range Plan and the STaR Chart make me understand better how to align the district and campus goals with my grade level lesson plans.
My confidence of using technology is higher after this course. Despite always like technology and I am used daily, and additionally implemented it in my lesson and daily classroom practices, I did not know how to add new pages, make a table and upload a PowerPoint presentation into the blog, I just left this course with the firm purpose of learn and practice more 2.0 web tools as pod casting and e-conference meetings.
This one is part of my best classes besides other ones that help me to be more aware of my weaknesses toward are a team player and collaboration matters. I specially like this one that promotes interactions and more real practices than lectures.
